Frequently Asked Questions

The EnviPure is 17 ½“ wide, 21 ½” tall, and 8” deep. It weighs 13 lbs.

The EnviPure includes 3 filter mediums. A pre-filter designed to catch dust, hair, and other larger particles, a HEPA filter designed to capture even the smallest particles, and an activated carbon filter designed to absorb odors, VOCs, and other gasses. The pre-filter can be cleaned and reused many times. The HEPA and carbon filters cannot be cleaned and are single use only.

The EnviPure is assembled, tested, packed, and shipped at our facility in Magnolia, Texas.

The EnviPure is:
Certified by the UL to meet UL 507 (Edition 10) and CSA C22.2 No. 113-18 (11th ed).
CARB compliant (verbiage tbd)
Energy Star (listed? Certified? tbd).

No, unlike air purifiers which use ozone producing technologies like UV lights and high-voltage electrostatic cleaners, the Envi Pure does not produce any ozone or other byproducts.

In short, it all depends on your use conditions. In good conditions the filter could last much longer than the industry standard 6-9 months. In an environment with particularly bad air quality the filter may need replacing sooner. EnviPure includes a filter with significantly more filter media than most competitor units so your filter should last at least as long, if not longer, than comparable units.

The best news is with the EnviPure you don’t have to wonder or guess at when to replace your filter. Our TrueFilter IQTM technology will measure the filter performance daily and notify you when the filter is reaching its end of life.

To view your filter status briefly touch the filter button while the EnviPure is on, the EnviPure will display the filter life on the ring gauge, a full 10-segment ring means the filter is fresh and working like new, 1 segment means the filter is spent and needs replacing.

The EnviPure will automatically test the filter once per day and the most recent test result will be displayed when you press the button. To trigger a new test (for example, after replacing the filter, or after cleaning the pre-filter) touch and hold the filter button for about 3 seconds until the filter test runs. The test takes about 15 seconds and the EnviPure will resume its previous operation as soon as the test is complete.

The EnviPure is designed to easily and beautifully integrate into any room. There are only a few key considerations.

Air flows into the EnviPure from the front and exits upward from the top surface of the back. Choose a location where these two surfaces are not blocked or obstructed, and avoid a situation where clean exit air is being deflected back to the front of the EnviPure where it will displace the dirtier air you’d like to have filtered.

Also make sure the EnviPure is located so that it and the power cord are clear of walkways and do not create a trip hazard. The power cord must also not be run under rugs, through doorways, or in other ways that could result in it being damaged or overheating.

No. The EnviPure does not require any special installation or assembly, just unbox the EnviPure, unwrap the filter, and plug it in.

The EnviPure meets or exceeds all relevant safety standards for use in a home. It has no sharp edges or hot surfaces, and the fan is fully enclosed and guarded against contact.

The EnviPure’s HEPA filter is capable of removing many allergens from the air, such as pollen, dust, and smoke, as well as potentially harmful microbes

Yes, the EnviPure’s HEPA filter is capable of removing airborne bacteria and viruses.

Yes, The EnviPure filter contains over 1.5 lbs of carbon media which is able to absorb an assortment of VOCs, odors, and ozone.

This is up to you and depends greatly on the environment the EnviPure is in. We recommend you visually check the prefilter on a weekly basis and clean it if it appears dirty or clogged.

Additionally, we recommend you clean the prefilter when you start to see the filter life getting low. Because the TrueFilter IQTM evaluates the total system performance, a dirty prefilter can result in a reduced filter score.

To clean the prefilter first remove it from the filter assembly, then we recommend you use a vacuum attachment to pull debris out of the prefilter. Alternatively, you may rinse out the prefilter with water, but make sure the prefilter is completely dry before reinstalling it as water can damage the HEPA filter medium.
